A very useful timecode calculator and converter for all the professionals in the film and video industry. It works with all frame rates, older and modern ones.
Besides addition, subtraction and multiplication, the calculator includes two different kinds of division:
The first division operation “÷” is the usual arithmetic division; the result is a timecode.
The second division operation “/” answers the question “how many times the Timecode 2 (the divisor) fits in the Timecode 1 (the dividend)?”; the result is a rational number.
Additionally, tap in the Timecode 1 field to instantly translate the timecode to number of frames.
All calculation operations are recorded in the “Paper Tape”, and this log can be copied or shared for later use.
The converter has two modes of operation: "t mode" or Constant Absolute Time and "f mode" or Constant Number of Frames. The help page explains in detail the two modes of operation.
The app works in portrait and landscape, in iPhone and iPad.
